Metallica Comes to the Rescue at Tomorrowland Following Main Stage Blaze

## Tomorrowland’s Unexpected Support from Metallica

Tomorrowland, the renowned dance festival in Belgium, has received an unlikely boost from the legendary band Metallica following a devastating fire that severely damaged the festival’s main stage. This incident occurred just a day before the highly anticipated 2025 edition was set to begin.

## Rapid Response to the Crisis

Local news reported that stage components from Metallica’s M72 World Tour, which were stored in Austria, were swiftly airlifted to Tomorrowland. This quick action ensured the festival could continue as planned.

One of this year’s headliners, Martin Garrix, expressed gratitude on Instagram, stating, “I can’t believe I’m actually typing this… but my set at Tomorrowland is still happening.” He extended his thanks to the committed Tomorrowland team and the band for their prompt assistance.

## Investigating the Cause

While the specific cause of the fire is still under investigation, various videos indicate that the sounds of fireworks were heard as firefighters responded to the scene. Reports suggest that a mishap might have occurred during a test of the fireworks at the main stage.

Local firefighter François van den Eynde remarked that the fire spread rapidly due to the materials used in the stage’s construction. He noted, “Despite all our resources, it was impossible to stop something like that. We tried to extinguish the fire, but as soon as you realize you’re not succeeding, you have to limit the damage to the rest of the festival site.”
