Mariah Carey Dazzles at VMAs 2025 with $10M Diamond Performance Outfit

Mariah Carey Shines at the VMAs 2025
Mariah Carey continues to dazzle, proving that her iconic status remains intact. Although she opted out of the VMAs 2025 red carpet, the renowned singer took the spotlight to perform a medley of her legendary hits and accept the evening’s most prestigious honor, the Video Vanguard Award.
A Glamorous Entrance
Carey began her performance adorned in a luxurious champagne-colored silk bathrobe. However, she quickly shed this layer to reveal a stunning corseted gold bodysuit embellished with crystals, perfectly complemented by sparkling boots.

Stunning Accessories
Carey’s jewelry was undoubtedly a showstopper. She showcased an array of diamond bracelets, including a stunning 72.15-carat cuff from Etho Maria, alongside breathtaking pieces that included a 204.38-carat diamond necklace and matching chandelier earrings valued at $10 million from Levuma.
A Humorous Acceptance
During her acceptance speech, humor shone through as Carey quipped, “What in the Sam Hill were you waiting for?” The award was presented to her by the talented Ariana Grande.
Breaking Records
At 56, Carey now holds the title of the oldest recipient of the Video Vanguard Award. Despite her well-known stance on birthdays—choosing to think of them as “anniversaries”—her achievements are undeniably remarkable.

Coincidentally, Carey had presented the very same Vanguard Award to LL Cool J back in 1997, and this year, he is the show’s host.

Incredibly, this event marks Carey’s first performance at the VMAs in two decades. Interestingly, she is nominated for Best R&B Video for her latest song, “Type Dangerous.”
As the evening unfolded, fans eagerly anticipated whether the legendary singer would be heading home with her hands full. What do you think? Will Mariah Carey finally take home her first Moon Person award?
