A Journey of Learning

At 53, Maria recalls her adventurous 40s, particularly the year she pursued culinary studies at Tante Marie in the UK. Coordinating the family during this time required support from her husband Arshad Warsi, family, and friends as she dedicated three months to her studies.

She shared, “The kids were small, and I had to coordinate with Arshad to manage our schedules.” This determination illustrates the importance of lifelong learning.

Overcoming Challenges

After her first culinary experience, Maria returned to school as her children grew older. She enrolled in an 18-week course that required extensive kitchen hours and campus changes between Paris and London. Despite facing challenges like memory issues due to perimenopause, her resilience shone through.

“I often worried about failing,” she admits, “but I learned to trust myself.” Her mantra echoes the notion that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams.

Celebrating Achievements

Maria proudly concluded, “My children attended my graduation in Paris, and Arshad joined later for the celebrations.” She emphasizes that age should not deter anyone from learning something new.

“The best time to try something new is now. Immerse yourself in your passions; it’s never too late to study,” she encourages aspiring learners.
