Manoj Bajpayee Expresses Desire to Star in a VFX-Centric Film
Manoj Bajpayee expresses his desire to explore VFX-heavy films, potential collaboration with Om Raut, and his affinity for cop roles.
With over three decades in the industry, Manoj Bajpayee has explored various genres and narratives. Recently, he starred in the indie film Jugnuma and the satire comedy Inspector Zende. He’s also set to reprise his role in the acclaimed series The Family Man 3 but is eager to delve into an unexplored genre: VFX-heavy films.
“I would love to act in a VFX-heavy film because I really don’t know how to act in front of a green screen. Many people tell me that it’s quite a challenge. However, I’ve never experienced it apart from using it for documentaries,” he shares.
Filmmaker Om Raut, known for his work in technologically-advanced films like Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero and Adipurush, recently expressed interest in directing Bajpayee. There’s a possibility that their goals might converge soon. Bajpayee humorously recalls, “I often sit next to him and ask for a role in his upcoming projects. I’m always hustling for a great opportunity with him.”
In The Family Man 3, Bajpayee returns as Srikant Tiwari, delving deeper into the mindset of his character. When asked about his attraction to cop roles, he elaborates, “It’s not about wearing the uniform; it’s about understanding the character’s background, motivations, and what shapes them into who they are. This depth is what truly fascinates me.”
