Madonna Makes Her Dancefloor Comeback with New Album via Warner Records

## Madonna’s New Album and Return to Warner Records
Madonna’s upcoming album is anticipated to serve as a sequel to her iconic 2005 project, *Confessions on a Dancefloor*. Late in 2024, she shared that she was back in the studio collaborating with Stuart Price, a producer who played a significant role in the original album. Earlier this year, she confirmed that *Confessions 2* is on the way.
This new release will be Madonna’s first since 2019’s *Madame X*. So far, she hasn’t disclosed any specifics regarding the album’s title or release date.
### A Reunion with Warner Records
A standout aspect of this new project is Madonna’s return to Warner Records, the label that supported her during the first 25 years of her illustrious career.
“From being a struggling artist in New York City to signing a record deal for just three singles, my life changed in ways I could never have imagined,” Madonna stated. “Warner Records has been a true partner from the beginning. I’m excited to reconnect and look forward to creating music that inspires discussions.”
### A Historical Journey
Madonna first joined the label in 1982 through Sire Records, a Warner subsidiary. During her time there, she produced some of her most significant albums, including *Like a Virgin* (1985), *Like a Prayer* (1989), and *Ray of Light* (1998), while also establishing her own imprint, Maverick.
Her contract with Warner concluded with the release of *Hard Candy* in 2008, after which she signed a 360 deal with Live Nation. This included a three-album agreement with Interscope, which led to the release of her more recent works like *MDNA* (2012), *Rebel Heart* (2015), and *Madame X* (2019).
### A Return to Her Roots
In 2020, Madonna departed Interscope and soon announced plans for a comeback with Warner Records. Her new deal not only secures her catalog in one place but also enables her to return her three Interscope albums to Warner in 2025.
While specific details about new music were initially absent, Madonna’s return to Warner included the promise of a vast reissue campaign. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of her recording career, she released a compilation titled *Finally Enough Love*, which featured remixes of her 50 Number One singles. Most recently, in July, she released *Veronica Electronica*, a *Ray of Light* remix album that had been shelved for 27 years.
### Looking Ahead
The co-chairmen of Warner Records, Tom Corson and Aaron Bay-Schuck, expressed their excitement about Madonna’s return. “Madonna is not just an artist; she’s a cultural icon, a groundbreaking force,” they said. Their comments mark a historic moment, emphasizing her enduring influence and paving the way for an exciting era of new creativity.
