Lzzy Hale Reflects on Being the Solo Female Performer at Ozzy’s Farewell Show
## The Legendary Finale
When Ozzy Osbourne held what was likely his last concert during the **Back to the Beginning** event in Birmingham, England, he was flanked by a powerhouse group of musicians. Icons from Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, and Aerosmith shared the stage to honor both Ozzy and Black Sabbath. However, the spotlight briefly turned to one remarkable woman: Lzzy Hale, the dynamic frontwoman of Halestorm.
## A Unique Experience
Hale candidly shared her thoughts about being the only female performer in such an illustrious lineup. “It’s not my first rodeo being the only girl in any situation,” she noted. Initially, it felt surreal to her, leading her to wonder, “I can’t be the only one, there’s so many of us out there.” Yet she soon embraced the privilege of representing women in rock during this significant event.

## Celebrating Women in Rock
Halestorm, who recently released their album **Everest** with producer Dave Cobb, rocked the stage with their Grammy-winning track “Love Bites (So Do I)” along with “Rain Your Blood on Me.” They even paid tribute to Osbourne with a cover of “Perry Mason.”
Hale expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the women in the audience, resonating with their love for heavy metal and rock. “Looking out at all of these girls, and all of these girls who love heavy metal and rock music the same way I do, and you see so many of them relieved that there’s somebody there — ‘OK, just like me, this is great,’” she remarked.
