Earlier this year, Lucy Dacus released her fourth studio album, *Forever Is a Feeling*. After allowing the album some time to resonate, she’s back in the spotlight with the announcement that she’s still deeply connected to her emotions. Dacus has unveiled two new singles: “Bus Back to Richmond” and “More Than Friends.”
### Insights on the New Singles
Dacus debuted “More Than Friends” during her recent performance in London, as part of the *Forever Is a Feeling* tour. The song includes heartfelt lyrics that reflect on her long-term relationship with someone special. “I’ve known you for so long / You know I admit it when I’m wrong,” she confesses in the song. The authenticity in her words clearly expresses how happy she is to have been wrong about their potential together.
On the other hand, “Bus Back to Richmond” has a bit of history. Initially performed during her 2021 *Home Video* tour, Dacus had requested her audience not to film or share the song online. Since then, it has occasionally popped up in her live sets. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of a memorable journey: “I held your hand on the bus back to Richmond / From New York on New Year’s Day.”
### Album Artwork Revision
While the new singles aren’t necessarily part of a deluxe album version, Dacus has made some exciting updates to the artwork for *Forever Is a Feeling*. She took to Instagram to express her gratitude to the artist @whoisdamaster for helping her realize the original vision for the album cover. The new visual features a Will St. John painting placed in a storage room brimming with golden frames.
Dacus remarked, “There wasn’t time to make this image at first, but it never left my mind. From here on, I’m changing the album art to this because… I want to and I can!” Her passion for her work shines through as she shares this transformative journey with her fans.
