Lucinda Williams is set to grace the stage for a special one-night performance at the iconic Sydney Opera House this August.
The event, named “Don’t Tell Anybody the Secrets,” will occur on Sunday, August 31st, in the Concert Hall. This unique show will blend live music with visuals and spoken word segments from her memoir, offering an intimate experience.
With her full band supporting her, Williams will showcase a selection of her beloved songs, including tracks from her critically acclaimed album Car Wheels on a Gravel Road as well as her latest release, Stories from a Rock n Roll Heart. In addition to the music, she will share personal anecdotes from her life and illustrious career.
Tickets for this highly anticipated concert will be available for pre-sale starting Wednesday, July 23rd, at 11 AM AEST. General sales will commence the following day, Thursday, July 24th, at 12 PM AEST.
This performance marks Williams’ inaugural headline show at the Sydney Opera House and serves as her sole solo headline event during this visit to Australia. She will also join Paul Kelly as a special guest for his national tour in August and September.
After a health setback in late 2020, Williams has returned to the stage with renewed energy, releasing a new studio album, a memoir, and Lucinda Williams Sings The Beatles From Abbey Road, recorded at London’s famous Abbey Road Studios.
