Lil Nas X Faces Battery Charges Against Police Officer: Latest Update

Lil Nas X Arrested in Los Angeles

Lil Nas X, the Grammy-winning rapper known as Montero Lamar Hill, was detained on Thursday morning in Los Angeles, as confirmed by L.A. County Sheriff inmate records. He is currently being held at the Valley Jail section of the L.A. Police Department in Van Nuys.

Incident Details

According to reports, the artist was hospitalized for a potential overdose after he charged at law enforcement officers in Studio City. He was placed in handcuffs before being taken to a nearby hospital.

TMZ shared a video showing the 26-year-old walking along Ventura Boulevard wearing only his underwear and white cowboy boots. In the footage, he appeared to be speaking incoherently to the person recording him.

Law Enforcement Statement

The LAPD stated, “Upon arrival, the suspect charged at officers and was taken into custody.” While they initially did not disclose the suspect’s identity, it was later confirmed that Lil Nas X faced charges for Battery on a Police Officer and was transported to the hospital due to concerns regarding an overdose.

Social Media Activity

Before his arrest, Lil Nas X had made a series of unusual posts on Instagram, having deleted all earlier content just two days prior. He shared unreleased music, mirror selfies, and snapshots of artwork alongside what seemed to be clutter from his home. His display name at the time was changed to “QUEEN MADELINE.”

Previous Hospitalization

This marks the second instance of hospitalization for the young artist in 2023. Back in April, Hill posted a video from a hospital bed, revealing he had experienced partial facial paralysis. However, he did not publicly explain the cause of this condition.
