## Soulja Boy Avoids Felony Charges
California prosecutors have opted not to pursue felony charges against rapper Soulja Boy after his recent arrest. He was taken into custody on the suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, which raised significant concerns.
## Current Status
As of Tuesday morning, online jail records indicate that the rapper, who is 35 years old, remained in custody. Soulja Boy operates his SODMG clothing line store on Melrose Avenue, close to the area where he was apprehended.
### Legal Troubles
This is not the first time Soulja Boy has faced legal challenges. In April, a jury awarded $4 million to one of his former girlfriends after she claimed he assaulted, sexually battered, and harassed her. His criminal history includes a previous conviction for carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle, stemming from his arrest in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley back in 2014.
