Addison Rae has received a remarkable compliment from one of the biggest names in pop, Kylie Minogue.
During an interview with the British radio station Kiss, Rae shared that Kylie sent her a message on Instagram following the release of her debut album, Addison, last month.
“She told me she loved my music, which was really cool,” Rae expressed. “She DM’d me the other day, and I was like, this is so cool.”
Rae also hinted at a possible collaboration, mentioning that she responded to Kylie with, “Let’s sing ‘Slow’ together.” This iconic track topped charts globally in 2003 and continues to be a favorite among fans.

This positive recognition comes at a time when Kylie was recently celebrated as the first female artist inducted into the O2 Arena’s exclusive “21 Club.” This club honors artists who have headlined at least 21 shows at the venue.
The acknowledgment follows her four sold-out performances during the acclaimed ‘Tension Tour.’ Through these shows, she reached a total of 24 performances at the London venue, easily surpassing the 21-show benchmark for membership.
Kylie previously graced the O2 Arena with her performances during her ‘KylieX2008’, ‘Aphrodite: Les Folies’, ‘Kiss Me Once’, and ‘Golden’ tours.
She now joins a prestigious list of entertainers, including Prince, Michael Bublé, Take That, and others. This club was initially established to celebrate Prince’s record-setting 21 consecutive sold-out performances in 2007.
Earlier this year, Kylie was also awarded the Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to Australian Music by APRA, which is considered one of the industry’s highest honors.
The Ted Albert Award is determined by the APRA board consisting of writers and publishers. Past winners include notable figures such as Michael Gudinski, Paul Kelly, and Colin Hay of Men at Work.
Meanwhile, Rae announced additional dates for the Australian leg of her world tour after the success of Addison, which debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Critics and fans alike have praised her, with the Associated Press declaring the emergence of “a new pop powerhouse” and Billboard affirming her growing status in the industry.
