Kendrick Lamar Expands Australia Tour with Doechii as Opening Act

Kendrick Lamar has announced extra dates for his upcoming Australian tour in December.
The Grammy-winning rapper from Compton will perform at Melbourne’s AAMI Park on Sunday, December 4th, and at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium on Sunday, December 11th.
Previously confirmed to open for him is ScHoolboy Q, while the newly-added shows will feature fellow American artist Doechii.
Both Kendrick Lamar and Doechii are set to be part of the Spilt Milk festival lineup this year.
Tickets will be available for purchase starting at 1 PM on Monday, August 11th, in Melbourne, followed by Sydney at 2 PM. Visit the official site for further details and check out the tour dates below.
“Both artists engaged the large audience with dynamic movements, powerful vocals, and a blend of creative animations, pyrotechnics, and lighting,” said a review of a recent performance.
“Despite the two-and-a-half-hour set, it maintained a high energy level, with Kendrick and SZA making sure to infuse their segments with upbeat tracks to keep the audience involved. Their experience was evident throughout their first stadium tour—they were all business, in the best way,” the review noted.
Kendrick holds a devoted fanbase in Australia, exemplified by his track “Not Like Us,” which dominated the ARIA Singles Chart for several weeks earlier this year. Notably, he even held three spots in the Top 10 in February with “Luther” and “All the Stars” joining “Not Like Us.”
The year started strong for Kendrick, with a remarkable showing at the Grammy Awards in his hometown, where he secured five wins including Record and Song of the Year for “Not Like Us.” He also delivered a thrilling performance during the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
