The Karnataka Pollution Control Board has issued an abrupt closure notice to Vels Studios and Entertainment Private Limited, the site for the popular Bigg Boss Kannada. The order requires that all activities cease immediately.
According to the notice, “The premises have been utilized for extensive entertainment recordings without the necessary permissions under the Water and Air Pollution Control Acts.” The Board has mandated that operations stop right away and requires an explanation within a specified timeframe.
Additionally, copies of this directive were sent to various local authorities to ensure compliance.
The Pollution Board also warned that failing to comply with this order could lead to legal action under current environmental regulations. The Bigg Boss Kannada series, which has been filmed at this site for several years, is one of the most-watched shows in Karnataka.
