Karisma Kapoor's Lawyer Highlights Major Mistakes in Sunjay Kapoor's Will

Karisma Kapoor’s Children Contest Sunjay Kapoor’s Will

The ongoing legal battle surrounding the estate of the late businessman Sunjay Kapoor has intensified. Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, are claiming that their father’s will contains numerous errors that cast doubt on its legitimacy.

Sunjay Kapur’s children with Karisma Kapoor have taken legal action against their stepmother.

Discrepancies in the Will

On Monday, the Delhi High Court continued its hearings regarding the matter. Senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, representing the children, asserted that the will appears to have been manipulated to exclude them from their father’s estate. He described the document as “fabricated,” laden with “glaring blunders.”

Specific issues include the incorrect address listed for Samaira and misspellings of Kiaan’s name. Jethmalani emphasized that such errors are out of character for Sunjay Kapoor, who had a close relationship with his children. “The casualness of these mistakes is concerning,” he stated.

Furthermore, Jethmalani pointed out that the will lacks details about key assets, including property and investments. He argued that it’s not a legitimate document prepared by the late businessman.

The next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday.

Background on the Estate Case

Sunjay Kapoor, known for riding high in the business world as the chairman of Sona Comstar, passed away in June during a polo match in London. His wife, Priya Sachdev, has since faced accusations from Sunjay’s children regarding the authenticity of his will.

After his death, Kiaan and Samaira took legal action against Priya, claiming that she forged the will to exclude them from inheriting their father’s assets. Meanwhile, Priya has submitted a request to disclose her late husband’s assets in a sealed cover, which has raised questions in court.
