Rishab Shetty’s film, Kantara Chapter 1, achieved remarkable success in its second weekend, crossing the ₹600 crore mark globally. As it builds momentum, the film is eagerly anticipated to sustain its impressive earnings with no major competitors in the coming weekend, particularly as Diwali approaches.

Box Office Update

On its 11th day in theaters, Kantara Chapter 1 garnered ₹39 crore net in India, resulting in an impressive second weekend total of ₹100 crore. Its cumulative earnings now amount to ₹439.65 crore net (₹525 crore gross) domestically, marking it as a true pan-Indian success. Both the Kannada and Hindi versions have each crossed ₹100 crore, while the Telugu version is poised to follow suit.

Internationally, the film has amassed over $10 million, including $4 million from North America alone, showcasing its global appeal.

Currently, Kantara Chapter 1 stands with a worldwide total of ₹615 crore, surpassing the lifetime collections of recent hits like Jailer (₹605 crore) and Leo (₹606 crore). Reports from Hombale Films suggest that the total might be closer to ₹640 crore, potentially outpacing even Salman Khan’s Sultan (₹628 crore).
