The latest box office figures detail that Kannappa has earned ₹1.75 crore on its fifth day, marking its lowest daily collection thus far. The film’s revenues dipped significantly after its opening, pulling in ₹2.3 crore on its first Monday. It had a strong start with ₹9.35 crore on opening day, followed by collection figures of ₹7.15 crore and ₹6.9 crore on subsequent days, leading to a total of ₹27.45 crore at the box office.
The film reported a Telugu occupancy rate of 14.13% on Tuesday, signaling an average interest among local audiences.
Kannappa is helmed by director Mukesh Kumar Singh and crafted by writer Vishnu, with Mohan Babu serving as the producer. The narrative revolves around the legend of Kannappa, an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva.
Featured stars include Vishnu, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal, among others. This project has been a decade in the making, with notable performances from Prabhas as Rudhra, Akshay as Shiva, and Vishnu as Kannappa.
Before its release, producer Mohan Babu shared a heartfelt moment on social media where superstar Rajinikanth expressed his admiration for the film post-viewing.
