Kangana Ranaut Compares Her Challenging Journey to Shah Rukh Khan’s Background
Kangana Ranaut’s Unique Journey in Bollywood
Recently, Kangana Ranaut shared insights into her path to becoming a prominent figure in Bollywood. She discussed how her experience contrasts with that of other stars, using Shah Rukh Khan as an example.
A Candid Reflection on Success
Speaking at an event in Delhi, Kangana reflected on her transition to mainstream success. “Why did I achieve such success? There’s probably no one else from a village like Bhamla who has made it this far,” she stated, pointing out her roots compared to Khan’s convent-educated background.
She elaborated further, “Some may disagree, but I attribute my success to being brutally honest with myself and others.”
Backgrounds of Two Stars
Kangana hails from Bhamla in Himachal Pradesh and ventured to Mumbai as a teenager. After runaway attempts, she landed her first major role at 19 in the film *Gangster*. She established herself with hits like *Raaz 2* and *Fashion*, marking her place as one of the leading actresses of her generation, recognized with four National Awards.
In contrast, Shah Rukh Khan was born in Delhi, where his father managed a canteen at the National School of Drama. He began his career in television with shows such as *Fauji* and *Circus* before transitioning to films. Iconic roles in *Darr* and *Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge* significantly contributed to his enduring box office appeals over three decades.
Kangana’s latest project, *Emergency*, faced challenges at the box office. She is now preparing for her Hollywood debut in the horror film *Blessed Be the Evil*, slotted for release next year.
