The creative team behind Spilt Milk is making an exciting shift to country music with the introduction of Strummingbird, a brand-new festival set to launch this spring. This event boasts an impressive lineup that is sure to attract fans from all over.

Headlining the festival is Jelly Roll, the Nashville country-rock sensation known for his powerful anthems and inspiring journey, which has garnered him four Grammy nominations and a rapidly expanding fanbase in Australia. Alongside him will be Shaboozey, the rising star celebrated for his hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”—a track that topped the Billboard Hot 100 and established him as a prominent voice in modern country.

Event Details

This new venture from Kicks Entertainment marks their first step into the country genre, expanding from their success with the sold-out Spilt Milk festival. The inaugural Strummingbird Festival is set to take place across three cities in October and November:

• Saturday, October 25th – Kawana Sports Precinct, Sunshine Coast (Kabi Kabi & Jinibara Country)
• Saturday, November 1st – Newcastle Foreshore, Newcastle (Mulubinba)
• Sunday, November 2nd – Claremont Showground, Perth (Boorloo)

Pre-sale tickets will be available starting August 7th, with general ticket sales commencing on August 8th.

The Rise of Shaboozey

Shaboozey is climbing the charts steadily. His latest single, “Good News,” recently broke into the top 10 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, and his album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going debuted at No. 5 in the US. His popularity in Australia is also confirmed, as “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” reached No. 1 locally and achieved 2x Platinum status.

Jelly Roll’s Anticipated Australian Visit

The buzz around Jelly Roll’s first tour in Australia came partly thanks to a slip by his wife, Bunnie Xo, during her podcast Dumb Blonde; she mentioned that he would be in Australia for four weeks post his European tour. With that tour concluding in mid-September, it aligns perfectly with the Strummingbird Festival’s early-November dates.

Moreover, social media has been abuzz with ads promoting a Jelly Roll VIP experience, spotted in various regions of Queensland, sparking speculation and excitement among fans.
