During the episode, which featured director Karan Johar as a guest, Janhvi highlighted the negative impact of social media on body image perceptions among young audiences. She explained, “I was once a young girl impressionable to such opinions, and I don’t want to propagate unrealistic standards.”

Reflecting on the claims, she recalled watching a video by supposed medical experts discussing her supposed surgeries. “A self-proclaimed doctor mentioned ‘buffalo-plasty’ and critiqued my appearance,” she said. “It is essential for me to be transparent about any procedures I’ve had, especially as a warning for young girls.”

Buffalo-plasty is an obscure cosmetic procedure aimed at correcting the distance between the nose and lips, enhancing the upper lip’s fullness. This term, however, seems to be a misnomer rather than a recognized medical procedure.
