Know more about Kalaripayattu
Kalaripayattu, originating in Kerala, is one of the oldest martial arts in the world, with a history spanning over 3,000 years. The term literally means ‘practice in the arts of the battlefield,’ combining unarmed combat with weaponry. Its techniques include strikes, kicks, grappling, and even meditation, emphasizing both physical and spiritual development.
Training often begins with an oil massage to increase flexibility and agility—an integral part of the Kalaripayattu experience.
Isha, who initially gained fame as a model, made her film debut in the Malayalam movie *Thattathin Marayathu* (2012). She’s also been part of acclaimed projects like *Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde*, *Bangalore Days*, and *Article 15*, in addition to web series like *Mirzapur* and *Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo*.
