Introducing IVE’s STARSHIP Entertainment: Meet the New 8-Member Boy Band IDID

STARSHIP Entertainment is gearing up to introduce its first boy band in five years, named IDID, following the group Cravity. This eight-member ensemble is set to make their debut in the K-pop scene just two months after the release of their pre-debut single, as reported by K-media source Korea JoongAng Daily on July 17. IDID was formed through the survival show “Debut’s Plan: NewKids,” with the final lineup revealed in the show’s concluding episode that aired on May 5, 2025.

IDID Sets Debut Date in K-pop Industry

The excitement surrounding IDID is palpable, mainly due to the impressive musical talents and captivating visuals of its members. This follows STARSHIP Entertainment’s victorious strategy demonstrated with their recent girl group, KiiiKiii. Set to debut on September 15, IDID has already drawn attention after releasing their pre-debut track, “What Did You Do Yesterday?” on July 24.

IDID’s growing popularity mirrors that of KiiiKiii, as both groups showcase impressive talent and visuals. As part of a successful agency that includes acts like IVE and MONSTA X, IDID’s debut is highly anticipated and comes with substantial expectations.

Introducing the Members of IDID

IDID is the fourth boy band produced by STARSHIP, following the paths of Boyfriend, MONSTA X, and Cravity. The members include Jang Yong Hoon (20), Kim Min Jae (19), Park Won Bin (19), Park Jun Hwan (18), Chu Yoo Chan (18), Park Seong Hyeon (17), Jeong Se Min (16), and Baek Jun Hyuk (16). Their selection was a mix of fan votes and board decisions.

Jeong Se Min secured his spot thanks to fan support, while Park Jun Hwan and Park Seong Hyeon were chosen by the board. The group’s stunning visuals have sparked considerable buzz, with one user on X commenting, “They all look like they walked out of a webtoon.” Furthermore, the intriguing band name, pronounced as “I did,” signifies that the group members have already achieved notable success.
