How Prabhas Fans Disrupted SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali Shoot

A Look Back at Baahubali’s Historic Shoot

Many assume that Prabhas rose to fame solely due to SS Rajamouli’s epic, *Baahubali*. However, the actor already had several hits under his belt, such as *Mirchi* (2013), *Mr Perfect* (2011), and *Darling* (2010). His popularity was so immense that during the initial shooting of *Baahubali* in Kurnool, Rajamouli had to adjust plans due to the throngs of fans wishing to see him.

Close Encounters on Set

On the first day of filming, Rajamouli set out to shoot a scene outside featuring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati. However, the sheer number of fans made it nearly impossible to maintain the focus on the actors. Cinematographer KK Senthil recalled, “It was unbelievable. Thousands had gathered, and no matter where we placed the camera, fans would appear in the shot. We had to pack up and try again another day, but people still showed up.”

Ultimately, Rajamouli decided to shift the shooting location to Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Senthil noted that, even before the *Baahubali* franchise took off, Prabhas had already gained significant star power, which has only magnified since the films’ releases.

About *Baahubali: The Epic*

The highly acclaimed films, *Baahubali: The Beginning* (2015) and *Baahubali 2: The Conclusion* (2017), will be shown in theaters as a combined feature titled *Baahubali: The Epic* on October 31. Prabhas takes on dual roles in these films, which also feature notable stars like Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj, and Ramya Krishnan.

In addition to *Baahubali*, Prabhas is working on several upcoming projects, including *The Raja Saab*, a horror comedy alongside Maruthi, scheduled to release during Sankranthi. He is also set to star in Hanu Raghavapudi’s *Fauzi* and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s *Spirit*.
