Satish Shah death: The celebrated actor, recognized for his performances in *Sarabhai vs Sarabhai* and *Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro*, passed away on October 25 at the age of 74. The hospital has now disclosed that he was found unresponsive at his home and could not be revived despite efforts from medical staff.
Hospital Statement Following Satish Shah’s Death
The P.D. Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre in Mumbai confirmed the news shortly after Satish Shah’s death. The hospital’s statement mentioned they received an emergency call regarding his condition and initiated CPR immediately in the ambulance.
The hospital’s press release expressed, “We are deeply saddened by the passing of veteran actor Mr. Satish Shah.” It continued, “CPR was commenced in the ambulance and was continued upon arrival at the hospital. Despite all efforts, he could not be revived.”
Satish Shah’s Legacy
Shah’s impactful career spanned over four decades, with his iconic role in *Sarabhai vs Sarabhai* making him a household name. In an interview following his passing, JD Majethia, the creator of the show, revealed that Shah had been dealing with health issues and had undergone a kidney transplant but later faced complications.
Born in 1951, Satish Shah’s acting journey began in the 1970s, gaining prominence in the 1984 sitcom *Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi*, where he showcased his versatility by portraying 55 characters. His performance in *Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro* also remains unforgettable.
Shah contributed to numerous films like *Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge*, *Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!*, and *Main Hoon Na*, with his last appearance being in *Humshakals* in 2014.
