Musical Themes
Humberstone’s music resonates with fans as it explores deep emotional themes, reflecting her own experiences with mental health. Discussing her journey with Tone Deaf, she shared, “My debut track ‘Deep End’ was inspired by one of my sisters who faced some challenges with mental health.”
She explains, “The opening line ‘throw me in the Deep End, I’m ready now to swim’ communicates my desire to offer support, even during difficult times. The song serves as a message to her that I will always stand by her side, even if I might not fully grasp her struggles.”
Her discography features notable works, including the breakout EP Falling Asleep at the Wheel, the praised follow-up The Walls Are Way Too Thin, her albums Can You Afford to Lose Me and Paint My Bedroom Black, as well as her latest single, “Dive,” featuring Asha Banks.
