Hilary Duff Unveils ‘Mature’ – Her First New Single in Ten Years
Hilary Duff’s Musical Comeback
Hilary Duff recently teased her fans about new music arriving "in the blink of an eye," and she means it. The talented actress and singer has confirmed that her new single, "Mature," will be released on November 6.
A Long-Awaited Release
"Mature" marks Duff’s return to music after a decade-long break, following her last single, "Sparks," which was part of her 2015 album Breathe In. Breathe Out. The cover art for "Mature" features a striking image of Duff layered three times, with the title printed in vibrant pink.
Behind the Music
In addition to her new single, Duff is set to star in a docuseries that will showcase her journey back into music. This project will illuminate her recording process and preparations for her first performances in ten years. Directed by Sam Wrench—who has previously worked on notable projects like Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour—this series promises to provide fans with an intimate look at her creative revival.
Duff has been collaborating in the studio with her husband, Matthew Koma, a musician and producer known for his work on Breathe In. Breathe Out. During a recent conversation with Variety, Duff shared her enthusiasm for returning to the music scene. "I always knew I was going to return to music. I needed to feel safe, to have the right people around me, and to be completely ready," she explained. "Having ten years of life experiences has given me a lot to express. This album dives into my thoughts, and I’m thrilled to reconnect with everyone on that deeper level."
