Highlights from the 2025 Design Academy Eindhoven Graduation Showcase
## Design Academy Eindhoven Graduation Shows in 2025
Design Academy Eindhoven (DAE) will host its graduation exhibitions from October 18 to 26, 2025, as part of the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. The showcase will feature over 200 Bachelor and Master graduate projects, centering on themes like social change, sustainability, technology, and cultural identity.
### Location and Public Engagement
This year’s exhibition will be held at Microstad, conveniently located near Eindhoven Central Station. The venue was selected for its diverse environments, which can accommodate both large and intimate presentations. In addition to the physical exhibition, DAE will offer a public program that includes both digital and live formats, providing further insights into the graduates and their innovative works.
### GS Design Tours
An exciting aspect of the show is the GS Design Tours. These tours, guided by students, aim to give visitors—especially professionals and businesses—a well-structured introduction to certain selected projects. A portion of the proceeds from these tours will benefit the DAE Alumni Association.
### STRP Young ACT Award 2026
The graduation show will also mark the announcement of the STRP Young ACT Award 2026, developed in collaboration with the STRP Festival. This award seeks to support three emerging artists, including one DAE graduate, with €4,000 in funding and opportunities for professional growth. Those selected will present their works at the STRP Spring in March 2026. Applications will be accepted until October 12, 2025, with winners revealed on October 25, 2025.
### Annual Award Program
DAE will continue its tradition of recognizing exceptional graduate work through its annual award program, featuring the Gijs Bakker Award, the René Smeets Award, and the Melkweg Award. Notable nominees this year include Gil Lima Monteverde, Valdís Steinarsdóttir, Noam Hasak-Lowy, Layla Junqueira Guertzenstein, Iduna Aurora Snip, and others across the different categories.
