Harshvardhan Rane Appeals to Fans: Stop Comparing ‘Saiyaara’ with Ahaan Panday
Harshvardhan Rane speaks out about film comparisons
Actor Harshvardhan Rane has expressed his frustration over the persistent comparisons between his performance in *Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat* and Ahaan Panday’s character, Krish Kapoor, from *Saiyaara*. This discourse seems to have reached a tipping point for him, leading him to appeal for these comparisons to cease.
Addressing the comparisons
In a recent Instagram post, Harshvardhan responded to claims that his character significantly outperformed Ahaan’s. He noted the increased dialogue surrounding this issue and made a heartfelt request for fans to stop these comparisons.
On Thursday, he shared an Instagram Story highlighting a post that claimed, “The internet has declared the hero of Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat as miles better than Saiyaara’s male lead.” Reacting to this, he pleaded, “Guys, I beg you! Please stop!” alongside a folded hands emoji.

He continued, “Guys, please stop comparing two people and two movie characters. Ahaan is very sincere and talented. I love his work and am a fan of his style.”
Recently, a social media user created a reel comparing Harshvardhan’s character to Ahaan’s Krish Kapoor. The post suggested that while Harshvardhan’s character was depicted as flawless, Krish Kapoor was portrayed as a womanizer.
In response to the reel, Harshvardhan added, “Ma’am, someone like that is in your destiny too.”
About Harshvardhan Rane’s latest project
*Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat*, directed by Milap Zaveri, has received mixed reviews but is performing steadily at the box office, amassing ₹55 crore. It also surpassed the total earnings of another romantic film, *Metro In Dino#*.
On the other hand, *Saiyaara* marked Ahaan Panday’s film debut and became the highest-grossing love story in Indian cinema, earning ₹570 crore globally.
