Renowned author and showrunner Harlan Coben is celebrated for his work in the mystery and thriller genres. Coben explains, “I keep novel writing and TV writing completely separate. When working on a novel, I focus solely on that, avoiding thoughts of adaptation, as that’s detrimental. When I was developing Lazarus, I didn’t think about it as a book; I was solely concerned with its screen quality.”

Currently, Lazarus is available on Prime Video. Coben also shared his admiration for India and hinted at future plans involving the country. “I have a strong affection for India; its rich history and diverse stories intrigue me. I’m collaborating with a team to set one of my projects there, although I can’t reveal details yet. I hope it’ll be soon,” he added.

Reflecting on his experiences in India, he remarked, “The storytelling tradition here is fascinating; it’s incredibly rich. I aspire to collaborate with talented individuals from your storytelling community to merge our creative strengths. That would be a dream come true.”

Lazarus features a stellar cast including Bill Nighy, Sam Claflin, and Alexandra Roach. Coben expressed that having Bill Nighy was a dream come true. “From conception, I envisioned Dr. Lazarus as Bill Nighy, and once he joined the project, everything clicked into place. Adding Sam Claflin and Alexandra Roach was just icing on the cake,” he concluded.
