Tina reflected on the harrowing moment in which she saw her father injured. She was present at the hospital, visibly distraught. “Seeing my dad in that condition was terrifying,” she recalled, adding that she was overwhelmed with emotion when they rushed him to receive medical attention.

Tina recounted, “When the gunshot went off, I was the one who took him to the hospital. He was preparing for an early morning flight to Kolkata for an event. He was wearing a white t-shirt and jeans, which became completely drenched in red due to the injury.” She described her tears as ones of relief, stemming from her prayers for his recovery.
According to his manager, Shashi Sinha, Govinda was mishandling his licensed revolver when it accidentally discharged, resulting in the injury.
