## Gorillaz Announces New Album
A ninth **Gorillaz** album is set to release soon. On Thursday, the group created by Damon Albarn revealed that their upcoming album, titled *The Mountain*, will feature 15 collaborative tracks and is scheduled to drop on March 20, 2026. To mark this announcement, the band shared a new single called “The Happy Dictator,” featuring Sparks.

Each track on the album will include at least one collaborator, showcasing artists singing in diverse languages like Arabic, Hindi, Spanish, and Yoruba. Notable contributions include Idles on “The God of Lying” and Argentinian DJ Bizarrap, who joins Kara Jackson and Anoushka Shankar on “Orange County.” Additionally, Argentine rapper Trueno will collaborate with Proof on “The Manifesto.”
### Thematic Essence of *The Mountain*
A press release described *The Mountain* as a “playlist for a party on the border between this world and whatever happens next.” The album explores life’s journey and the excitement of existence. The recording took place at Studio 13 in London, with additional sessions across cities like Miami, New York, Ashgabat, and Damascus, marking their first release under the indie label, Kong.
### Upcoming Tour Details
Alongside the album, Gorillaz will embark on a tour through the United Kingdom and Ireland in March, stopping in cities including Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Belfast, and Dublin. They will also take the stage in June at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, with Trueno opening for most shows.
