Gordon Ramsay Reveals Skin Cancer Treatment Journey

Gordon Ramsay’s Health Update
Gordon Ramsay recently shared important news about his health, revealing that he has undergone treatment for skin cancer. The 58-year-old chef disclosed this information in a heartfelt Instagram post.
Basal Cell Carcinoma Removal
Ramsay mentioned that he had basal cell carcinoma removed, classified as a non-melanoma form of skin cancer. He expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the team at The Skin Associates for their prompt response in handling the situation.
In his post, he humorously remarked, “Please don’t forget your sunscreen this weekend, I promise you it’s not a facelift. I’d need a refund.” He also shared an image showcasing the affected area on his face following the procedure, with a dressing near his ear.
Understanding Basal Cell Carcinomas
Basal cell carcinoma is the most prevalent form of skin cancer in New Zealand. According to Health NZ, these carcinomas typically appear as slow-growing lumps. They can range from skin-colored or pink to pigmented, and may bleed or ulcerate, varying in size from a few millimeters to several centimeters in diameter.
Recent Health Challenges
This health update comes on the heels of several physical challenges for the chef, including a serious biking accident earlier this year. Luckily, he was bruised but did not sustain severe injuries.
Best known for his fiery nature, Gordon Ramsay stars in popular cooking shows like Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, and MasterChef.
