Foo Fighters Hint at Upcoming Tour with Exciting AI-Driven Promo Video
## Foo Fighters’ Return with New Drummer
Foo Fighters recently took the stage for their inaugural performance with drummer Ilan Rubin at the Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo, California, which holds a capacity of 900. The band has hinted at exciting plans ahead, signaling to fans that there’s more in store.
### Fun Promo Video Highlights
On Tuesday night, the band released a lighthearted promotional video on YouTube, seemingly crafted with the help of AI. The clip features band members discussing the importance of authentic music while poking fun at AI tropes like strange features and extra fingers.
In the video, Dave Grohl states, “It’s been a while but I’m happy to announce that Foo Fighters are coming back to bring you that 100 percent real, raw, human element of rock ‘n’ roll,” while showcasing a fictitious set list in peculiar script.
The video concludes with a tease: “Stay tuned… there’s more to come!” Although no tour details have been released yet, this creates anticipation among fans. The new lineup performed a second show at the Observatory in Santa Ana, California, and they already have tour dates scheduled for Singapore, Japan, and Mexico.
### Ilan Rubin’s Debut
Saturday was a significant day as it marked Ilan Rubin’s first official performance with Foo Fighters. Rubin, known for his time with Nine Inch Nails, joined the band earlier this summer following the departure of Josh Freese. Grohl introduced Rubin on stage, declaring, “Ladies and gentlemen, will you please welcome… the most badass motherfucker, Ilan Rubin, is playing drums in the Foo Fighters right now. It’s official. You can stamp the passport.”
Earlier this year, Foo Fighters released their first new songs since the 2023 album *But Here We Are*, including “Today’s Song” and a cover of Minor Threat’s “I Don’t Wanna Hear It.”
