## Farm Rio’s New Resale Initiative
Brazilian fashion brand Farm Rio is stepping into the world of secondhand fashion with its new resale program, ‘Farm Rio Closet to Closet’. This initiative aims to reduce textile waste by keeping wearable clothing out of landfills.
### Collaborations for Sustainability
The program is in partnership with ThredUp and Poshmark, launching exclusively in the U.S. for now. However, Farm Rio has ambitions to broaden its reach into other markets in the near future.
### Easy Reselling Process
With the Poshmark feature, customers can easily sync their verified purchases from the Farm Rio website. This connection automatically creates a preview advertisement for each item, eliminating the hassle of uploading photos or drafting descriptions. Sellers simply need to approve the listings before they are made public. Once an item sells, the earnings go directly to the seller.
### Simplified Donations to ThredUp
For those who prefer a different method, customers can send in their gently used items to ThredUp at no cost. By generating a prepaid shipping label, users can fill any box or bag with qualifying clothing, accessories, or shoes, and ship them off. In exchange, they will receive a Farm Rio gift card based on ThredUp’s resale results, giving them credit to shop for something new.
