Fanny Lumsden Reflects on Her New Single, ‘Look At Me Now’

## A Decade of Growth: Fanny Lumsden’s Musical Journey
After a decade since her ARIA Award-nominated album *Small Town Big Shot* was released, Fanny Lumsden has captured her evolution in her latest single, “Look At Me Now,” which is now available across all platforms.
### A Love Letter to the Past
This new track was recorded while Lumsden was on her European tour with her live band, The Prawn Stars. In her words, it serves as a heartfelt message to her younger self. “The number of ‘no’s’ I’ve faced in this industry is astonishing. I’m grateful for each of those experiences, as they shaped me into who I am today,” she reflects. “It’s not just the victories, but also the challenges and hard times that have defined my journey. It feels cliché, but I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to self-manage, drive the van, and even apply my makeup in the rear-view mirror, all while performing at some of the biggest shows of my career.”
### Making Magic Happen
Lumsden aimed for “Look At Me Now” to be an authentic expression of her live band, who share both the struggles and triumphs of life on the road. “Recording this track was a wild experience, as we had to fit in sessions during our travels. We are incredibly thankful to Matt Fell for his expertise in making this happen.”
### What’s Next for Fanny?
In addition to releasing this new single, Lumsden just wrapped up an extensive eight-week tour across the UK and Ireland. She is preparing to return to Australia, where she’ll be joining Paul Kelly for a national arena tour. With such an impressive year behind her, Lumsden shows no signs of slowing down.
