Experience the New Hermes Silk Scarf Pop-Up Launching in Singapore on October 23
Long before the iconic Birkin bag became a symbol of luxury, Hermes built its reputation on stunning silk scarves.
The renowned French house is now honoring this timeless accessory with a traveling pop-up exhibition that kicks off in Singapore on Thursday, October 23, at Marina Bay Sands. This exciting event will make its way to another city in 2026.
Hermes has a rich history in silk dyeing, having first introduced its celebrated scarves in 1937. The exhibition, titled The Silky Way, explores the evolution of these scarves through interactive activity stations.

A key feature of the exhibition is an immersive dome that will showcase a 20-minute animated film. The story follows a woman on a journey around the world, documenting her experiences through handwritten letters.

In addition to the dome, an adjacent gallery displays all the silk scarves featured in the film, highlighting the diverse characters and objects within the narrative.

Visitors can also enjoy a photo booth with neoprene printouts, as well as a studio area featuring a story paired with a guitar track. Another room contains a telescope revealing a surprise, while there’s a special cut-out book detailing a unique scarf.

The exhibit also features a Carre Stories wall with 24 cards narrating the histories behind various silk scarves.

Lastly, a cozy library corner holds books dedicated to silk scarves, Hermes’ storied past, and collaborations with renowned artists.
The Silky Way exhibition runs from October 23 to November 5, open daily from 12 PM to 8:30 PM at Marina Bay Sands event plaza. To secure your visit, please check out Hermes.com. It’s recommended for guests aged 7 and up.
