## Upcoming Eminem Documentary
Exciting news for fans of Eminem: a new documentary is set to hit cinemas around the globe.
## What to Expect from *Stans*
The film, titled *Stans*, is scheduled for a limited theatrical run at AMC Theatres in the United States from August 7th through 10th. Named after Eminem’s iconic track about an obsessive fan, the documentary provides insights into the rapper’s journey through the eyes of his most passionate supporters. Since the song’s debut in 2000, the term “stan” has entered everyday vernacular and was even officially recognized in the Oxford English Dictionary as of 2017, highlighting the phenomenon of devoted fandom.
Interestingly, while the original song had darker themes, “stan” has since transformed into a term of affection within fan communities.
## Distribution Details
AMC Theatres Distribution, which came into existence after the successful releases of Taylor Swift’s *The Eras Tour* and Beyoncé’s *Renaissance* concert documentaries, will manage the distribution of *Stans* in the U.S. The film will be shown in over 135 AMC locations, featuring at least two screenings daily. Additionally, it will enjoy a weeklong awards-qualifying run at New York’s AMC Empire 25.
## Global Release Information
If you’re located in Australia or other countries outside the U.S., there’s no need to worry. Trafalgar Releasing will debut *Stans* simultaneously on the same dates, rolling out in around 1,600 theaters across 50 territories.
For comprehensive screening details, make sure to check out the official film website, launching screening info on July 24th at 2 PM BST.
## The Making of the Documentary
Directed by Steven Leckart, *Stans* delves into the “complex relationship between one of the world’s most enigmatic artists and his expansive public persona.” The documentary combines recreations, archival clips, and fresh interviews to illustrate the peaks and valleys of Eminem’s remarkable career.
This multi-Grammy award-winning artist, famous for tracks like “Lose Yourself,” “Without Me,” “Real Slim Shady,” and of course, “Stan,” also took on the role of producer for the film alongside Paul Rosenberg, Stuart Parr, Antoine Fuqua, Tony DiSanto, and David Schiff.
