Everclear Celebrates 30 Years with Full ‘Sparkle and Fade’ Performance in Australia

After thirty years since its debut, Everclear is preparing to bring Sparkle and Fade to life in full during their upcoming Australian tour.

The iconic alternative rock band from Portland will launch their tour on November 21st in Newcastle. They promise to perform the entire album, including the beloved track “Santa Monica,” along with other hits that fans adore.

Art Alexakis, the band’s vocalist and guitarist, describes the album as his major accomplishment, noting it’s the project he “had wanted to make my whole life.”

He shared, “Thanks to its success and the lasting impact it has had, this band has thrived for three decades. This tour honoring Sparkle and Fade is our way of expressing gratitude to all our amazing fans—both old and new.”

“We’re thrilled to bring this tour to Australia. Along with all the hits and fan favorites, we plan to perform the full album throughout the show in celebration of this 30th anniversary,” he added.

Originally released in 1995, the album resonated deeply with listeners and achieved platinum status shortly thereafter. While “Strawberry” may not be among the biggest hits, it became a personal favorite for Alexakis following his multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2019 at age 54.

Despite this health challenge, Alexakis has maintained a rigorous touring schedule, donating one dollar from every ticket sold to charitable organizations like Sweet Relief Musicians Fund and the National MS Society.

Pre-sale tickets via Spotify and Bandsintown will be available starting at 9 AM on July 30th. General ticket sales will commence at 9 AM on the following day.
