ENHYPEN’s Jay Addresses Sasaeng Fan’s Disruptive Livestream Calls
K-pop enthusiasts know the troubles that stalker fans, or sasaeng fans, can bring to both fellow fans andthe idols themselves. The boy group ENHYPEN has found itself at the center of this issue multiple times. Recently, member Jay confronted a persistent caller during a live session with ENGENE on Weverse, calling attention to the invasive behavior.
Jay Addresses Invasive Calling During Livestream
On October 10, during a live broadcast, Jay was frequently interrupted by someone persistently calling his personal phone. Though the livestream was running on an official device, the interruptions were distracting enough for him to confront the caller publicly.
A Frustrated Response
After several attempts to ignore the calls, Jay decided to address the caller. With a mixture of frustration and professionalism, he spoke directly to the unwanted caller: “You’re still watching this, right? I don’t know who you are, and I don’t care, but it’s really bothering me.” He expressed how the disruptions were impacting his interaction with his fans, saying, “You’ve wasted 10 minutes of my time.”
Warning of Consequences
He didn’t hold back with a stern warning: “If you keep doing this, I’ll pick up your call and put you on speakerphone during my livestream.” Jay made it clear that he wouldn’t be bullied into silence and called for the caller to stop their intrusive behavior.
Despite the disturbance, Jay apologized to his fans and reassured them that he would continue the session without letting it derail his focus. His determination to maintain a positive interaction with fans was evident as he moved on with the livestream.
