Emotional Farewell: Rajvir Jawanda Laid to Rest After Tragic Accident
Punjabi singer Jawanda passed away after a serious motorcycle accident in Himachal Pradesh. He was 35.
Punjabi artist and actor Rajvir Jawanda was laid to rest on Thursday, surrounded by family and colleagues from the industry. Tragically, Jawanda lost his life following a severe motorcycle accident in Himachal Pradesh on September 27, after which he remained on life support at Fortis Hospital in Mohali due to his critical injuries.
Tributes from Punjabi Artists
Numerous Punjabi actors and singers, including Satinder Sartaj, Babbu Mann, and Ammy Virk, came together to pay their respects to Jawanda. Many villagers also gathered at his home to mourn the loss of their beloved artist.
Jawanda suffered severe head and spine injuries during an accident while riding his motorcycle in Solan district. He had a cardiac arrest before being transported to the hospital.
Born in the village of Pona in Ludhiana’s Jagraon, Jawanda began his music career with the single “Munda Like Me” in 2014 and became popular for his hit “Kali Jawande Di” in 2016. He was well-regarded for his ability to blend folk traditions with contemporary Punjabi pop, captivating the younger audience.

Some of his other notable songs include “Tu dis penda,” “Khush Reha Kar,” and “Landlord.” As an actor, he appeared in films like “Subedar Joginder Singh,” “Jind Jaan,” and “Mindo Taseeldarni.”
Punjab’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Jawanda’s family to express his condolences.
