Ed Sheeran Launches Exciting Pop-Up Pub Experience in Auckland

Ed Sheeran is set to open a pop-up pub in Auckland to celebrate the launch of his new album, Play.
From September 12th to 14th, fans can enjoy The Old Phone, a temporary venue located in Commercial Bay. For this exclusive weekend, attendees will have the chance to relish drinks, delicious food, engaging games, music, and of course, the sounds of Sheeran himself right in the center of Auckland’s CBD.
Dropping on September 12th, Play includes popular singles like “Azizam,” “Sapphire,” and “Old Phone.” This album is described as “an explorative, technicolour pop album capturing the fun, chaos, and heart of an artist rejuvenated by life and travel.”
Recently, he also unveiled the single “A Little More,” which is part of the upcoming album. The music video features Harry Potter enthusiast Rupert Grint, connecting fans back to a character introduced in Sheeran’s earlier “Lego House” music video from 14 years ago.
In addition, Sheeran is planning his ‘Loop Tour’ for 2026, with performances scheduled in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Adelaide throughout January, February, and March. Due to high demand, extra shows have been added in four different cities.
The English singer-songwriter enjoys immense popularity in New Zealand and Australia, having sold over 2.5 million tickets across the region to date.
