Dua Lipa Teams Up with Gwen Stefani for Epic ‘Don’t Speak’ Performance

Exciting Collaboration at the Kia Forum

Dua Lipa has a delightful tradition of performing a beloved song local to each city on her tour. During her fourth night at the sold-out Radical Optimism tour at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, she was joined by Gwen Stefani on stage to perform No Doubt’s iconic track, “Don’t Speak.”

A Tribute to a Musical Inspiration

Before welcoming Stefani, Lipa expressed her admiration for the pop icon. “I wanted to highlight one of my personal heroes, someone I adored growing up and who has influenced my music and style,” Lipa shared with enthusiasm. “This phenomenal woman is here tonight, and you all are so lucky to have the one and only, Gwen Stefani!”

Unforgettable Tour Highlights

This remarkable performance took place close to the show’s midway point, following Lipa’s rendition of the underrated gem, “These Walls,” with her band supporting her on stage.

Expressions of Mutual Admiration

Lipa and Stefani have shown their mutual respect on various occasions. At the iHeart Music Festival last September, Stefani praised Lipa, calling her the “prettiest girl in the world.” In 2020, Stefani collaborated with Lipa on a remix of “Physical” by Mark Ronson.

Behind-the-Scenes Decisions

Regarding the collaboration, Lipa mentioned, “We reached out to Gwen and her team to clear the sample for ‘Hollaback Girl’ for Club Future Nostalgia. It was then that I thought, ‘Let’s see if she’d be up for joining us.’ She loved Mark Ronson’s remix of ‘Physical’ and was eager to jump on board.”
