The Pacifica: A New Adventure
Named Pacifica after the ocean it traversed to reach New Zealand, this impressive 13-meter vessel accommodates up to 50 thrill-seekers. Riders can swing at an exhilarating 75 degrees to each side.
Unique Ride Experience
Those seated in the back rows will experience a brief moment of weightlessness when the ship plunges downward, reaching heights of over 20 meters.
The previous Pirate Ship was retired in 2017 after nearly four decades of operation due to dwindling replacement part availability.
Rainbow’s End commenced construction on this new ride in late 2022, partnering with renowned German manufacturer Huss Park Attractions for its design and build.
Susan Mudie, the CEO of Rainbow’s End, expressed her excitement as guests experienced the new Pirate Ship for the first time. She stated, “We can’t wait for everyone to sail on Pacifica and enjoy the thrill—it’s a ride suited for all ages.”
She added, “This new attraction signifies a considerable investment for Rainbow’s End, and we look forward to Kiwi families creating lasting memories aboard.”
