This led many to accuse Dhvani of relying on auto-tune. In a recent interview, Dhvani clarified the incident and shared that Farah had subsequently apologized for the misunderstanding.

Reflecting on the viral IIFA incident, Dhvani remarked, “I was quite ill at that time, having taken four fever tablets. I don’t even know why I chose to perform. The auto-tune was applied poorly, making it sound awful. I wasn’t at my best, and it became a point for others to mock.”

Farah Khan’s apology to Dhvani

Dhvani further explained, “After the whole incident, Farah ma’am approached me and sincerely said, ‘I’m sorry.’ I was oblivious to what had occurred. She understood people might ridicule me and wanted to address it. I invited her to party with us, to which she agreed. I never held her responsible for it; we both were caught in the moment.”

The video showcased Dhvani singing *Vaaste*, and while Farah interrupted her, she later remarked, “none of them used auto-tune.” This comment fueled online critiques of Dhvani’s vocals.
