Koratala Siva’s Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer Devara: Part 1 is officially getting a sequel.
The confirmation has arrived! Devara 2, a sequel featuring Jr NTR, was unveiled by the film’s production team on the one-year anniversary of its predecessor’s release. Yuvasudha Arts made the announcement via their X account, featuring a poster for the upcoming sequel starring Jr NTR.
Devara: Part 1 launched in theaters on September 27, 2024, in five languages.

The newly revealed poster displays Jr NTR in costume as his character, gazing directly at the audience. The accompanying caption reads, “It’s been one year since HAVOC struck the shores…” The message emphasizes the film’s impactful storyline and invites fans to prepare for the upcoming sequel.
Koratala Siva will reprise his role as director, while Anirudh Ravichander returns to compose the film’s score. Part 1 enjoyed a successful run, grossing over ₹400 crore worldwide despite mixed reviews. The initial film concluded with a cliffhanger that paves the way for its sequel.
What Jr NTR said
While there were circulating speculations about the film being shelved, Jr NTR previously addressed these rumors after the film’s release. He mentioned to the Associated Press, “I just want my director, Koratala Siva, to take a month off. I suggested he take some time to refresh, after which we can begin planning Devara 2 with renewed energy.”
