Depeche Mode Set to Release Live Album Featuring Unreleased 'Memento Mori' Tracks

## Depeche Mode’s Exciting New Releases

Depeche Mode is set to release a new live album on December 5, featuring four previously unreleased tracks from their latest project, *Memento Mori*. This album is a compilation of performances from their three-night concert series at Mexico City’s Foro Sol Stadium in 2023.

### Unreleased Tracks

The four new songs—“In the End,” “Survive,” “Life 2.0,” and “Give Yourself to Me”—originated from the studio sessions for *Memento Mori*, which took place in 2022. The first track, “In the End,” will become available on streaming platforms starting October 24. Some fans had the chance to preview it during the closing credits of the film *Depeche Mode: M*, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June.

### Film Release Details

*Depeche Mode: M* has been crafted by Mexican director Fernando Frias. It’s unique because it intertwines live performances from the *Memento Mori* tour with a deep dive into the significance of mortality in Mexican culture. The film features narration by actor Daniel Giménez Cacho, along with interviews from fans, artists, and cultural experts. It will have a limited theatrical release beginning October 28.

### Themes of Mortality

The topic of death resonates strongly in Depeche Mode’s work, especially evident in the name *Memento Mori*. This album was shaped during challenging times, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the sudden passing of founding member Andy Fletcher in February 2022.

### Box Set Release

Following its theatrical debut, the film will be released physically on December 5. A special box set will include a DVD/Blu-ray of *M*, as well as a second disk featuring the more traditional concert film, *Memento Mori: Mexico City*, directed by Frias. Also in the box set will be a double-disc live album, although *Memento Mori: Mexico City* will be available separately on CD and vinyl.
