Day 10 Box Office Update: ‘Thamma’ Hits ₹108 Crore with Steady Performance
Thamma box office collection day 10: Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, this film stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. Released on October 21 for Diwali, it marks the fifth installment in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, grossing over ₹100 crore in India.
As reported by industry sources, Thamma amassed an estimated ₹3.25 crore on Thursday, bringing its total domestic collection to approximately ₹108.25 crore. The film debuted with ₹24 crore, generating ₹55.6 crore in its first three days and climbing to ₹95.6 crore by day seven. While it had a solid Tuesday with ₹5.75 crore, the earnings dipped slightly on Wednesday with ₹3.65 crore. Although surpassing others in its franchise, it still aims to close the gap with Stree 2’s impressive ₹597.99 crore domestic total.
During an interview, Ayushmann expressed his joy over Thamma’s performance. “Public validation means everything to me. This marks the highest opening of my career, and I’m hopeful this will be my biggest film yet.” He shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming project, Bhediya 2, stating, “I’m eager to see how different characters from this universe will interact in future films.”
Produced by Maddock Films, Thamma follows the narratives established in Stree (2018), Bhediya (2022), Munjya (2024), and the soon-to-release Stree 2 (2024). The storyline revolves around a journalist named Alok, played by Ayushmann, who encounters a mysterious woman named Tadaka (Rashmika) in the woods. She introduces him to the complex world of betal—vampiric creatures. Following Thamma, the cinematic universe will continue to expand with Bhediya 2, featuring star stunts from Varun Dhawan and Shakti Shalini alongside Aneet Padda.
