A Troubling Night

However, it was shocking to learn of the emotional turmoil she was experiencing that evening.

Yeoh took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news that her grandmother had passed away earlier that day.

During the awards show, she received updates regarding her grandmother’s health, prompting her to consider leaving the event to say farewell.

“Ultimately, I chose to stay. I was hopeful about bringing home a Top 10 Most Popular Female Artiste award to the hospital for my grandma,” she shared.

A Long Career and Heartfelt Wishes

Having competed for this award numerous times throughout her two-decade career, Yeoh was optimistic that her recent rise in popularity from her role as Kang Si Li in Emerald Hill would finally bring her success. Unfortunately, she left the event without the award.

She also missed her chance to bid farewell to her beloved grandmother.

With funeral arrangements consuming her time, Yeoh returned to work just two days later. In her heartfelt message to her late grandmother, she expressed profound determination:
