Dan Trachtenberg Praises Dimitrius for His ‘Unbelievable’ Young Predator Role
New Directions in the Predator Franchise
The Predator series takes an exciting turn with its upcoming film, Predator: Badlands. For the first time, a young Predator stands at the center of the narrative. The film explores this character’s journey as he confronts challenges on a dangerous, isolated planet, forging a tenuous alliance with a cyborg along the way.
Director Dan Trachtenberg has recently discussed his experience casting the film’s main characters and the unique depth Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi brings to the role.
Trachtenberg on Schuster-Koloamatangi’s Impact
Dan Trachtenberg expressed, “Dimitrius was one of the most remarkable finds of my career. He had a lovely audition, but we wanted to see what he was capable of physically. We set up an obstacle course, and the way he navigated was incredible. He outshined the stuntmen with his agility and style.”
In addition to physical skills, Trachtenberg emphasized that Dimitrius brought emotional depth to the young Predator character. “On set, he excelled in both physical and emotional aspects. I was amazed by how much he added to this creature, making him both vulnerable and formidable,” he remarked.
