Colin Farrell made a memorable appearance at the 2025 Emmy Awards, bringing along his son, Henry, who is rarely seen in public. The duo walked the red carpet in style ahead of the prestigious event held in Los Angeles on a Sunday.
Father-Son Style
At 49 years old, Farrell looked dapper in a velvet tuxedo. He was joined by his 15-year-old son, Henry, who opted for a classic all-black ensemble featuring a suit, collared shirt, and tie. The resemblance between them was striking as they posed for the cameras, donning serious expressions while photographers captured their moment together.
Inside the Ceremony
Once inside, the star of “The Penguin,” which garnered 24 nominations this year, was seen introducing Henry to his industry colleagues. This outing marked another public appearance for the father-son duo, following their attendance at the premiere of “The Penguin” in New York City in September 2024, where Farrell wore a pinstriped suit while Henry again went for a sleek black look.
A Strong Family Bond
Farrell has consistently involved Henry in significant moments. The actor previously brought him to the 2023 Academy Awards, where they both wore matching tuxedos. He shares Henry with his ex-partner, Alicja Bachleda-Curuś, and he is also the father to James, 22, whose mother is model Kim Bordenave.
James lives with Angelman syndrome (AS), a rare neuro-genetic disorder that significantly affects his development, including motor skills and communication. Farrell and Bordenave serve as James’ conservators as they navigate his care needs.
The Future for James
Farrell shared in April that he and Bordenave have decided to place James in a long-term care facility, allowing him the opportunity for a full and fulfilling life. This decision stemmed from a desire to ensure there is a stable plan in place for their son.
People with Angelman syndrome often face challenges with mobility, speech, and may also deal with seizure disorders. Farrell has established a foundation to honor his son, emphasizing the magical aspects of his life.
