About Heavy Metal
Winter is hitting the road to promote Heavy Metal, which has quickly become one of 2024’s standout albums. His lyrical prowess has drawn comparisons to iconic artists like Bob Dylan and Tom Waits.
In a glowing review, Pitchfork praised Winter, stating, “Bolstered by timeless arrangements that are by turns folksy, soulful, and neo-classical, Winter establishes himself as a songwriter par excellence.” Additionally, GQ referred to the album as both a “hidden gem” and a “modern classic.”
According to a 9/10 review from The Line of Best Fit, “These songs channel Leonard Cohen’s solemnity with a beat poet’s hallucinations… highlighting their necessity in a standalone project.”
New Music from Geese
Winter’s band, Geese, has also announced exciting news about their new album. Titled Getting Killed, it’s set to drop on September 26th via Partisan Records. Produced by Kenny Beats, this album represents a significant departure from their earlier music.
